A Coeliac Australia Gluten Free Accredited menu is available at our McCafe’s situated within McDonald’s Rutherford, Greta and Singleton and our new restaurant Maitland Food Court (Stockland Green Hills) opening soon.
To become accredited we needed to meet the stringent requirements of the Coeliac Australia Gluten Free Accreditation Program. This means you can dine with confidence knowing that all our items meet the Gluten Free Standard, our staff have been trained, and our stores have been audited. Our menu items have also undergone laboratory testing from a NATA accredited laboratory and results show ‘no detectable gluten’.
We know that you will also love the experience of being able to order off a menu and not having to pay a premium for delicious gluten free menu items. Your order is prepared in a dedicated zone and our staff go the extra mile to ensure your order is delivered on its own tray or in a separate bag to avoid cross contamination.
The concept of the Gluten Free menu was developed by Denise, an Owner Operator of the McKeough Group McDonald’s Restaurants, who was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease in 2001. This specialised menu was designed to offer quality meals, not just cakes, at affordable prices.
It’s also important to Denise that the menu is continually evolving as we discover exciting new Coeliac Disease-friendly ingredients.
